For the player.
For a drummer, teacher or video creator: visualise hits, practise a track and turn the kit into a light instrument.
Early access to KRKN hardware as it exists today. Each prototype is hand-built and configured by its creator for a real project.
Abyss is the first field access to KRKN hardware, before the crowdfunding campaign. It already works, but it still needs to be tested outside the workshop by different people in different situations.
This is not a display mock-up. It is a usable unit built around KRKN's current technical choices and adjusted to each participant's situation.
It is not a finished production product either. Abyss will evolve through the problems encountered, ideas tested and feedback documented in the field.
Abyss is not a third product. It is the current hardware bridge between both KRKN experiences.
For a drummer, teacher or video creator: visualise hits, practise a track and turn the kit into a light instrument.
For a lighting engineer, technician or several bands: prepare configurations, connect the stage and stay in control live.
A lighting engineer working with three bands does not need the same configuration as a drummer making videos. Talking directly with the creator, as many times as needed, is exactly what builds the right unit.
Early access has value because it is real. It also comes with the limits of a first revision.
Bugs and changes are expected. Finding them is part of the programme.
Future Core and Ultra products will incorporate lessons from this phase.
A unit only ships once it is technically ready for its intended context.
Configuration, safety, confidentiality and commitments are defined before any decision.
“A kit that works in my workshop has not yet proved it will hold up during soundcheck, rehearsal or a show.”
A trigger reacting to the next drum, a moving cable, a setup taking too long or an unclear interface: these issues only emerge when KRKN lives with someone else.
What you receive
What KRKN expects
Applying is free and commits you to nothing. After a first conversation with the creator, selected applicants receive a written proposal that sets out the configuration, the financial contribution to manufacturing costs and mutual commitments. You remain free to decline.
For a creator partnership, a discount may be included in an agreement with clearly defined deliverables.
Every application is personally reviewed. Units are not allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tell us about your field, equipment and what you want to build with KRKN.
Enthusiasm, real use and the quality of the context matter more than speed.
A direct conversation with the creator helps us understand your needs, constraints and objectives. It stays open afterwards, whenever you need it.
Configuration, contribution and commitments are put in writing. Either party can still say no.
The unit is assembled, adapted and shipped once it is technically ready.
Some testers may later be invited to join a partner expert programme. The idea under consideration is to share their KRKN expertise and receive a commission on their direct Core and Ultra sales. The programme, its criteria and benefits have not yet been finalised.
This form helps prepare a useful first conversation. There is no payment, reservation or commitment at this stage.
Allow around 8 minutes. Detailed answers are more useful than perfect ones.
